Dr. Chong Hui Yee

MD (UNPAD)

Dr Chong is from Penang, born in Nibong Tebal, and is a fully qualified General Practitioner who graduated from Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, in 2016.

After graduation, she was assigned to Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin, a tertiary hospital in Bandung, Indonesia. During her training, she underwent intensive exposure across multiple departments, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Forensic Medicine, Radiology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Rehabilitation and Dental services. This comprehensive training provided her with broad clinical exposure and strengthened her foundation in various areas of medicine.

Upon completing her housemanship at Hospital Taiping, Perak, in July 2019, she continued her career as a Medical Officer in the Emergency and Trauma Department at the same hospital. She subsequently transferred to Kuala Nerang District Hospital, Kedah, where she served for more than a year, further broadening her experience in district-level healthcare and community medicine.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Chong volunteered her services by joining health and medical support teams involved in combating the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia. This experience further strengthened her commitment to serving patients and contributing to the wider community during times of need.

In April 2021, she joined the Zip-Zip Group of Clinics and subsequently rotated through Klinik Remedic Kangar, Alor Setar, Changlun and Jitra. Under the guidance and mentorship of Dr Lu Yu Tat, she developed not only her clinical capabilities but also important management and leadership skills. She is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

In 2022, Dr Chong volunteered as a medical doctor in POS BERING VMS (Volunteer Medical Services), a charitable medical outreach programme organised by the Remedic Healthcare Foundation (RHF). Her involvement reflected her continued commitment to extending medical care beyond the clinical setting and serving communities in need.

In 2025, she further extended her commitment to humanitarian medical service by participating as a volunteer doctor in the RHF Charity Medical Mission in Cambodia, providing medical services and support to underserved communities. This international volunteer experience strengthened her belief in the importance of accessible healthcare and the responsibility of medical professionals to serve beyond geographical boundaries.

Dr Chong is currently the person in charge of Klinik Remedic Nibong Tebal and is a major shareholder and Director of Zip-Zip Newcare Sdn Bhd. She is also pursuing a professional course in Occupational Safety and Health under NIOSH, with the aim of continuously expanding her knowledge and skills so that she can provide better and more comprehensive healthcare services to the community.

Throughout her career, Dr Chong has remained committed to continuous learning, professional development and community service, with the aspiration to contribute meaningfully to the health and well-being of the communities she serves.
