Dr. Gan Ee Xian
MD (UNPAD)
Dr. Gan Ee Xian is a graduate of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), School of Medicine in Bandung, Indonesia. Dr Gan completed her housemanship in Kuching Sarawak General Hospital going through medical, surgical, orthopaedic, paediatric, emergency medicine, obstetric and gynecology department.
She was also a medical officer in the emergency department of Sarawak General Hospital until she was transferred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur during COVID pandemic. She had been trained in Neurology, Nephrology, Cardiology and she is also part of the COVID team doctors who took care of patients in general ward and Intensive care unit.
She underwent Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Paediatric Basic Life Support, Certificate of Training in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) at National Heart Institute of Malaysia (IJN).
She shared: Words of encouragement really do matter.

“I learned so much about how to encourage my patients, too—to keep their spirits high when they were scared and alone”.
Dr Gan found her interest in primary care and believe that critical illness can be prevented provided if they are treated early and managed well by General Practitioner.
“Prevention is better than Cure”.
She strongly believes that good nutrition and playing sports is a great way to improve one’s health and fitness. She plays basketball, netball, track and field training and volleyball.
